Parliament chair calls for better responses to questions from ministers

WILLEMSTAD - Chairwoman of the Parliament, Charetti America-Francisca (MFK), has urged the ministers of the Pisas-2 cabinet to make more efforts to respond to questions from parliament members in a timely manner. This call comes after criticism from various parliament members about ministers not answering their questions or doing so inadequately, as reported by Amigoe.

America-Francisca acknowledges that the high workload of ministers is part of the issue, but she also suggests that ministers need more support to answer questions effectively.

Since 2013, there has been a protocol giving ministers 60 days to respond to questions, but in practice, these deadlines are often not met. Parliament members have expressed their concerns about adherence to this protocol.
