PAR Joins Volunteers for World Clean Up Day Curaçao 2025, Calls for Stronger Environmental Action

WILLEMSTAD – The PAR parliamentary faction and party members teamed up with volunteer organizations this weekend to participate in World Clean Up Day Curaçao 2025, part of the global movement that mobilized people in more than 200 countries to promote a cleaner planet.

On Saturday, residents across the island took part in cleanup activities, collecting plastic bottles and removing waste from neighborhoods, beaches, and public spaces. According to PAR, the effort underscored that “every action counts.”

“Each area cleaned and each plastic bottle collected is a contribution to an island we all love, and one we want to leave as a legacy for future generations,” the party stated.

Gratitude to Organizers and Volunteers

PAR expressed its appreciation to the organizers of World Clean Up Day Curaçao for their patience, energy, and dedication in mobilizing so many people. The party also extended a heartfelt thanks to all volunteers who joined the initiative: “We know that working together makes a real difference for the well-being of our island.”

Political Commitment

The party reaffirmed its commitment to continue advocating in Parliament for legislation and governance that protect the environment and promote the well-being of the population.

PAR also urged the government to publish the plastic ban law that Parliament already approved in full, and to strengthen enforcement against vehicles transporting uncovered waste.

A Cleaner Future for All

“A cleaner Curaçao benefits us all — you, me, and the generations to come,” PAR emphasized, calling for continued collective responsibility in building a more sustainable and cleaner future for the island.
