WILLEMSTAD - The Maritime Days organized by the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) commenced yesterday and will run through Thursday. During this event, more than 850 students will visit the harbor, where they will receive presentations from various organizations involved in the maritime sector. A total of eight secondary schools are participating in the activities, aimed at providing students with deeper insights into the harbor and the maritime world, both of which are crucial for Curaçao's economy.

Participating organizations in the CPA Maritime Days include the Caribbean Coast Guard, Carmabi, Caribbean Sea Divers, Curaçao Pilots Organization, Kompania di Tou Kòrsou, Fundashon Kuido di Ambulans Kòrsou, Curoil, the Meteorological Service of Curaçao, Damen, and Uniek Curaçao.

This initiative seeks to enhance awareness among young people about the significance of maritime activities and encourage potential career paths in this vital sector. The CPA hopes that these experiences will inspire the next generation to engage with and contribute to Curaçao’s maritime industry.
