Orco Bank to acquire CIBC FirstCaribbean's Curaçao and Sint Maarten portfolio in major expansion move

WILLEMSTAD - Orco Bank, a prominent financial institution renowned for offering comprehensive personal and business banking solutions in Curaçao, Bonaire, and Sint Maarten, is delighted to announce a significant development in its growth strategy. Orco Bank has entered into an agreement to acquire the majority of CIBC FirstCaribbean's banking portfolio in Curaçao and Sint Maarten.  

This strategic acquisition encompasses specific banking assets on both islands and is contingent upon regulatory approval by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS). The finalization of the transaction is expected to occur in the coming months, following the necessary regulatory clearances.
