WILLEMSTAD – Only three political parties have submitted their annual financial reports to the Electoral Council (ER), as required by the National Ordinance on Political Party Finances.
The law mandates that all political groups submit an annual report and financial statement before April 1 each year. However, only PAR, MAN, and MFK have complied with this requirement.
The financial report must include details on the party’s board composition, membership contributions, and a financial statement of donations and expenses, verified by an external accountant.
The failure of other parties to meet the deadline raises concerns about transparency and accountability in political financing. The Electoral Council has not yet indicated whether any penalties will be imposed on non-compliant parties.
