WILLEMSTAD - The investigation into the sudden illnesses that affected a group of children at Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) at the end of March is still underway. The completion of the investigation has been delayed as not all research results from the Analytical Diagnostic Center (ADC) have been received yet.
Following the incidents, Medicine and Health Affairs initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Eleven children, aged between 14 and 17 years old, fell ill during a physical education class, prompting the need for a thorough examination.
The investigation involved taking various samples of water within SDK, conducting air measurements, and obtaining blood samples from the affected students.
The timeline for the availability of all research results is currently unknown, but efforts are being made to expedite the process and provide a comprehensive analysis of the situation.
