WILLEMSTAD - Roderick Kwartel has to serve a prison sentence of up to five years if it is up to the Public Prosecution Service in Curaçao (OM).

The former director of state company Refineria di Korsou (RdK), the Curaçao Refinery is said to have demanded a bribe from a potential refinery takeover candidate. He did that together with three other RdK employees.

One example was that the four wanted $ 750,000 for the contract and then a $ 20,000 fee every month. Also, 10 cents per crude barrel of oil had to be paid to the four RdK members. The company Count filed a complaint against these four.
