WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) has filed a complaint against one or more parties involved in the negotiations to arrive at a new operator for the refinery. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) confirms this.
Various media reported on Thursday that the Central Bank would have approached the Public Prosecution Service because of forged documents in the search for a new operator of the oil refinery. The Public Prosecution Service announced on Friday that no such report was known to either the Attorney General or the Chief Public Prosecutor.
Last week, a complaint was submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office which was addressed to an employee of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The Attorney General has been informed of the complaint. The Public Prosecution Service makes no further announcements about the contents of the report and against whom it is directed.
