Official Warning: Violation of Maximum Prices for Chicken Eggs

WILLEMSTAD – The Economic Inspection Department of the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) has recently found that several businesses are not complying with government-imposed maximum prices for chicken eggs (specifically battery-farmed eggs). These products may only be sold at or below the following maximum prices:

Ronny Cornelis, head of the Economic Inspection Department, has issued a stern warning on behalf of the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Roderick Middelhof, to all businesses failing to comply with these price regulations. Violations may result in the temporary closure of the business.

The Economic Inspection urges the public to report any businesses that are charging prices above the legal limit. Complaints can be submitted via WhatsApp to the Inspection Department at +599 9 562 1444.

The department emphasizes it will take strict action against anyone who violates these legal provisions.
