On this day, Arcos Dorados, the biggest independent franchise of McDonald’s in the world that operates the largest chain of fast-service restaurants in Latin America and the Caribbean, will donate all funds gained from Big Macs sold to the local non-profit organizations, Funditut and Ronald McDonald’s House of Charities.
WILLEMSTAD - McDonald’s Curaçao officially launches its 2023 edition of the ‘Great Day’ campaign. On Saturday, November 4, all funds from the famous Big Mac will be donated to the local non-profit organizations, Ronald McDonald’s House Charities and Funditut.
This event reinforces the commitment of McDonald's to achieve a positive impact in the local community by supporting initiatives that provide the youth with opportunities for a better future and ensure the well-being of families.
All five McDonald's restaurants will participate in this campaign, and McDonald's Sta. Rosa will have a special celebration for those who visit the restaurant. From 12 to 2 PM and from 5 to 7 PM there will be special visits from One Flavaz, Riggwenda Doorjé and Andreïna Pereira. There will be music during the day and special activities for children between 12 to 2 PM.
Funditut & Ronald McDonald’s House of Charity: Pillar of the community
Both foundations are doing valuable work in the community. Funditut, as part of Stichting Jeugdcentrale Curaçao, supports the youth in obtaining and maintaining a job through a personalized work-study trajectory to be self-sustainable. On the other hand, Ronald McDonald’s House Charities aims to support families of seriously ill, injured, or hospitalized children through their emotional, social, or even financial challenges to lighten the load for families and achieve a more positive experience in those difficult times.
McDonald’s Curaçao will celebrate the ‘Great Day’ on November 4th in a festive way with music and different activities. Starting today, any individual or local company can support by purchasing a Big Mac or McCombo Big Mac voucher at Funditut, Ronald McDonald’s House Charities, or one of the five McDonald’s on the island. This means there is no need to wait until the 4th; you can offer your support right now!
McDonald’s Curaçao, Funditut, and Ronald McDonald’s House Charities invite the entire community of Curaçao to join the celebration of Great Day this November 4 because every Big Mac counts. Let’s help these fantastic causes continue their great work by purchasing a Big Mac and a big celebration on Great Day!
