WILLEMSTAD - The appeal in the confiscation case against Gerrit Schotte is due next week. In a court ruling the former Curaçao Prime Minister had to pay back some 1.5 million guilders.

He had obtained that money illegally with bribery and money laundering. But Schotte maintains his innocence, even though he is now irrevocably detained in the SDKK prison. November 14 is the date for the appeal.
