WILLEMSTAD - Whoever is driving in a car must put on his belt. If they don’t do that, then they run the risk of a hefty fine.

That became clear yesterday during a court case. There stood a woman who as a passenger drove in a car but did not put on her seatbelt. That joke costs her 150 guilders and another 150 if she is caught again this year.

Passengers in the backseat must also put their seat belts on, according to the Public Prosecutor.
