WILLEMSTAD – The awareness campaign No Riba Nos Isla has concluded with great success. Launched under the umbrella of the Action Center for Combating Undermining Crime Curaçao (ACOC), the campaign reached a broad audience and marked a significant step in the collective fight against undermining crime.

The initiative was a collaboration between the Ministries of Justice of Curaçao, Aruba, and Sint Maarten, aiming to raise awareness of the societal consequences of criminal activities that weaken governance and security. Over a four-week period, the campaign achieved remarkable results, reaching more than 113,000 people. A total of 3.5 million advertisements were displayed, generating 7,613 clicks to the campaign website. Additionally, 4,122 people engaged with the interactive quiz, designed to educate participants about undermining crime and its impact.
Advertisements were distributed through popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube and were available in both English and Papiamentu to reach the widest possible audience. The campaign utilized various communication tools, including long and short videos, carousel ads, and an interactive online quiz to effectively convey its message.
“This campaign is a significant milestone in our collective efforts to strengthen and protect our communities,” stated ACOC coordinator Thyrza Girigorie. The ACOC, which operates under the Ministry of Justice, focuses on an integrated and administrative approach to combating undermining crime in Curaçao. The No Riba Nos Isla campaign represents a crucial component of this strategy.
