WILLEMSTAD - According to sources close to the negotiations, the Isla Refinery has refused the transition contract.

The contract between Isla and the government company, which owns the refinery facilities, the RdK, must become valid for the transition period from January 2020 until the moment there is a new partner for the refinery, but Isla could not agree with the proposal that is now on the table.

The company can now come up with a proposal itself. A contract must be signed before 31 December, because then the current contract will expire.
