New Vehicle Inspection Rules: Only Drivers Allowed During Inspection Process

WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao government has announced new regulations for vehicle inspections, aimed at improving safety and efficiency at inspection stations across the island. As of now, only the driver will be allowed to remain inside the vehicle during the inspection process. No other individuals will be permitted on the inspection premises or inside the inspection area.

According to a government press release, once the inspection is completed, the driver must remain seated in the car until a staff member hands over the results. This new measure is part of an effort to protect both staff and visitors by limiting the number of people present during inspections.

The Department of Traffic and Transportation urges the public to follow the updated rules and cooperate fully with the new procedure. The department also reminds vehicle owners of the importance of booking inspection appointments on time to avoid delays and ensure a smooth process.

Authorities thank the public for their understanding and cooperation as they work to maintain a safe and orderly environment at the inspection sites.
