WILLEMSTAD - The priority of the new student council president, Nimrod Jamanika, is to create more brand awareness for the council and the university. The new student council of the University of Curaçao (UoC) was installed on September 29.
During the meeting of the new student council, Rector Magnificus Dr. Francis de Lanoy introduced himself and explained what is expected of the council. In addition to raising the university's name, the chairman of the council also wants to ensure that the students enjoy and proudly participate in the university community during his term of office.
The other members of the student council also introduced themselves. The university writes that the common thread of the introduction had to do with the importance of representation by the students and their contributions to the further development of the university.
