WILLEMSTAD - The opening of Mr. Porter's Street Café in Pietermaai. The café is located in the building of the old Miles Jazz Café, but has been thoroughly renovated in the past two months. The new manager is Tariq Maduro. He says he took over the cafe after Miles' owners called it quits.

As is known, earlier this year there was a commotion about alleged racist statements on Facebook by one of Miles' owners. After that, the café did not open anymore - partly because of the corona measures. Tariq Maduro is looking forward to the opening of his new café. "We worked very hard for two months on a new interior. And it looks beautiful."
