WILLEMSTAD - The new ministers for Economic Development (MEO) and Social Development, Labor, and Welfare (SOAW) are likely to be announced by mid-October.
Independent MP Zita Jesus-Leito and the leadership of the KEM party submitted the names of the candidates in early September. However, the candidates are still awaiting the results of the screening process, which is expected to take four to six weeks.
In the meantime, the Pisas II Cabinet has adjusted its governing program. Additionally, at their request, the Council of Ministers has appointed two new chiefs of staff: Franklin Sluis for MEO and Jason Fullinck for SOAW.
