WILLEMSTAD – On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout, officially swore in Mr. R.P.P. Hoekstra as a judge of the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. 

The swearing-in ceremony was held online to allow Judge Hoekstra to immediately begin his judicial duties on Bonaire. The Vice President of the Joint Court, Ms. Maroeska Scholte, also attended the virtual ceremony.
