WILLEMSTAD - The Judicial Care (JZ) is undergoing further digitization. The Minister of Justice, Shalten Hato (MFK), has officially recognized the importance of digitalization within the judicial chain. The priority lies in the ICT platform of the JZ organization, as stated in a press release.
The minister had previously approved the allocation of financial resources to JZ for investing in ICT. Hato is convinced that modernizing the IT infrastructure will lead to improved service quality, better outcomes, and increased productivity.
These initiatives are also outlined in the government program Pisas II. Many organizations are involved, including Ambulante Justitiële Jeugdzorg Curaçao, Slachtofferhulp, and Gezinsvoogdij Instelling Curaçao. JZ's main task is to work with these organizations to ensure the safety of children and citizens on the island.
JZ hopes to have the entire ICT platform updated within six months. This will lead to an improvement in the quality of service and, hopefully, greater efficiency.
