WILLEMSTAD - Joel da Silva Goes has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of Portugal in Curaçao. The well-known businessman of Madeiran descent is also the owner of Goisco. His appointment was recently approved by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho, upon the proposal of the Ambassador of Portugal in The Hague.
The role of the Honorary Consul involves two main responsibilities: providing assistance to Portuguese citizens in Curaçao and representing Portuguese commercial interests.
