WILLEMSTAD - Environmental and recycling organization Green Force will replace all stickers of the current recycling stations with a new design. In addition, many recycling stations will be added. That is what the organization reports.
A Green Force recycling station consists of three bins: one for waste, one for plastic bottles and one for aluminum cans. All three together thus form a 'recycling station'.
Many stickers had to be replaced because of the extreme wear from sun and salt in the air. Also, the old design was no longer what the organization wanted. "The new stickers have become much more beautiful, have much more color and reflect local flora and fauna. We wanted to make something so beautiful that people would want to take a picture with it," says Timo Brouwer, owner of the organization.
Green Force is also ready for an expansion in this area. 50 new stations will be added and many companies in the diving and hospitality sector have already signed up. It is simply not of this time to not take responsibility for your waste. Some can be separated and processed for export and recycling abroad. Which is what Green Force does.
The 10 largest hotels in Curaçao are eligible to enter into a recycling contract with Green Force. We have 50 new recycling stations available for this expansion. Several large hotels have already signed up and are entering into a recycling contract with Green Force. When all recycling stations are given away on loan to new customers and the hotels, it will take a while before new bins come.
