WILLEMSTAD - Justice has signed a new cooperation protocol with Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP). This protocol concerns labor collaboration between the Curaçao Fire Department, the airport fire brigade, and the Curaçao Police Force. The collaboration between these three entities aims to provide high-quality and efficient fire services and increased safety in Curaçao.
The cooperation includes mutual assistance, knowledge sharing, training, joint exercises, and guidelines for the procurement of materials.
The implementation of the collaboration will be systematically adjusted to the progress of this agreement. Details regarding mutual assistance, work areas, reporting procedures, contact persons, and the preparation of available service personnel will be documented in a detailed agreement between the Fire Chief, the Chief of the Curaçao Police Force, and a qualified CAP official.
The protocol also provides opportunities for joint training among firefighting colleagues, as well as between members of the Curaçao Police Force and Curaçao Airport Police. CAP and the Ministry of Justice have also agreed to provide facilities such as offices, classrooms, and technical facilities for firefighting training. This includes both individual and multidisciplinary exercises on specified dates at the airport and other locations.
Furthermore, the protocol allows for the exchange of personnel, materials, and equipment between the Curaçao Fire Department, Hato Fire Department, and the Curaçao Police Force, as well as opportunities for evaluation and the formation of large joint teams.
