New Children's Corner at Admission Organization

Local | By Correspondent February 19, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – A new children’s corner has been opened at the Admission Organization (Toelatingsorganisatie). This marks the fifth children's play area set up in a government office that serves a high volume of visitors. The play area provides an educational and comfortable space for children while their parents take care of administrative matters.

The children's corner at Servisio di Atmishon is designed in the shape of an airplane, symbolizing the way many immigrants have arrived on the island. Around 90% of visitors to this office come for a residence permit, a process that often takes time. With the play area, children can stay entertained while their parents wait for appointments or submit documents.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to help children become familiar with government services from an early age. Previous children’s corners in other government offices have been well received, encouraging the Ministry of Justice to expand the concept to more locations.
