WILLEMSTAD - The Curacao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Anuschka Cova as the new CEO of CHATA. Ms. Cova brings over 26 years of experience in leadership roles, with a strong background in the private sector, in public-private partnerships and a good understanding of the tourism industry. She was previously the Chairwoman of Curaçao International Financial Association (CIFA) for 6 years, Vice President of Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC) for 6 years and was a member of the Curaçao Tourism Master Plan Steering Committee and the Curaçao Investment Committee.
With tourism being most important pillar of the Curaçao economy, CHATA is delighted to have Ms. Cova on board to further propel its growth and development. As CEO of CHATA, Ms. Cova will lead the association in its mission to deliver a visible, leading, and effective contribution towards a vibrant and sustainable tourism and hospitality product in Curacao. Her extensive experience and dedication to the industry will be instrumental in advancing CHATA's initiatives, including advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the sector, destination and product marketing, air service retention and growth, product and human resources development, and communication as the voice of the sector.

CHATA would also like to recognize the tremendous work done by Mr. Jim Hepple, who has served as the Interim Managing Director for 18 months. His insights and efforts have been of great value to CHATA and its membership. Ms. Cova and Mr. Hepple will be working together in the upcoming weeks to ensure a smooth transition. “We would like to extend our immense gratitude to Mr. Jim Hepple for the outstanding job he has done over the past 18 months. We could not have asked for a better Interim Managing Director”, said Ms. Luttge.
