WILLEMSTAD - A total of 299 kilos of waste was collected on the road to Fuik and Kaminda Jose C. Anthonia during a cleanup organized by the Kunuku Man and his team of volunteers this past Sunday.

The collected waste included 900 beer bottles, weighing 180 kilos, along with 800 plastic bottles, which weighed 16 kilos. Additionally, 225 aluminum cans (3 kilos), 6 kilos of miscellaneous plastic, and 94 kilos of other waste were gathered.

The Kunuku Man holds weekly cleanup events in various locations around Curaçao, encouraging locals to help keep the island clean. His motto, "Curaçao must be cleaner," emphasizes the importance of community involvement. This week's message is simple: "Don’t be ashamed, get involved. Pick up five pieces of litter every day."

These efforts are part of a broader mission to promote environmental awareness and inspire residents to take action in maintaining the beauty of Curaçao.
