WILLEMSTAD - The plan for a new national theater is taking shape. The Council of Ministers has agreed to sign a confidentiality agreement with the Curaçao General Pension Fund (APC). Agreements have been made in the so-called NDA to create a new theatre.
This theater is named after the multi-talented Ced Ride, who passed away in 2021. It was previously announced that the Ministry of Culture has three potential sites for the construction project. For example, Sentro Pro Arte in Groot Davelaar, the FKP office at Waaigat and the Post Office in Punda are being looked at. The first steps have now been taken to get the site of the old theater into government hands.
