WILLEMSTAD – Nadya Nersicio was appointed interim Secretary-General of the Ministry of Management, Planning, and Public Service (BPD) as of May 26. This appointment follows an internal reorganization of responsibilities within the ministry’s senior civil service leadership.
Maharo Isenia, who had been temporarily leading both BPD and the Shared Service Organization (SSO) as well as the government digitization program since December 2024, has now handed over his role at BPD to Nersicio. Isenia will fully focus on his duties at SSO, prioritizing the completion of ongoing projects.

Outgoing Minister Hensley Hato noted that the workload within BPD is significant and requires clear leadership focus. “While Nersicio’s appointment is a temporary solution, it is clear that a structural strengthening of the organization is necessary,” the minister stated.
Minister Hato expressed gratitude to Maharo Isenia for his efforts over recent months and voiced confidence that both officials, in their adjusted roles, will contribute to reinforcing government operations. The search for a permanent leadership structure within BPD will continue in the coming period.
