WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Rennox Calmes was arrested Wednesday morning at his home in Amerikanenkamp, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service.
Calmes faces allegations of fraud related to the payments of parliamentary staff members. He is the only MP representing the party 'Trabou pa Kòrsou'.
The Chair of Parliament, Charetti America-Francisca, confirmed that she filed a report approximately a year ago. "It concerned the forgery of pay slips," stated America.
