MP Anthony Godett Slams Flow Over Disconnection of Phone and Internet Services

Local | By Correspondent April 11, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – Member of Parliament Anthony Godett (KEM) voiced his anger during a parliamentary session on Thursday over what he described as poor service by telecom provider Flow. Speaking during the Central Committee’s discussion of the 2026 national budget, Godett said his phone and internet had been disconnected without justification.

“Why does Flow think it’s a good idea to cut off my phone and internet? This is an embarrassing situation,” Godett told fellow MPs. After making inquiries, he discovered that no other members of Parliament had experienced similar issues.

“I’m the only one with this problem,” he added. “The Parliament pays 320,000 guilders to this company, and for that reason, I am asking the chair of Parliament to ensure that this doesn’t happen to any other member in the future.”

Godett proposed that Parliament send a formal letter of protest to Flow, demanding an explanation and expressing disapproval of how he was treated.
