Motorists can reschedule their previous appointment at the inspection center for free tomorrow and Wednesday

Local | By Correspondent July 31, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - Motorists who missed their appointment to have their cars inspected on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the Selikor blockades can now visit without an appointment and at no additional cost.

The blockades by the personnel of waste processor Selikor resulted in the inspection center being inaccessible on Tuesday, July 27, and Wednesday, July 28, 2023. Vehicle inspections, registrations, or transfers of vehicle documents could not take place.

To accommodate motorists who missed their appointments during these two days, the Ministry of Traffic and Transportation now offers a solution. On Tuesday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 2, 2023, they can visit for vehicle inspection without a prior appointment.

This can be done during the following hours: between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM in the morning and between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM in the afternoon. The good news is that no additional charges will be applied for this service.

Motorists can simply walk in on the indicated dates and times to have their vehicles inspected; no appointment is needed. The ministry hopes that this measure will alleviate the inconvenience caused by the strike and ensure that all vehicles can be inspected at a suitable time.
