WILLEMSTAD – A motorcyclist died overnight in a traffic accident on Helmin Wiels Boulevard, near Pico Cash and Carry, authorities confirmed. 

According to initial reports, the incident appears to have been a single-vehicle crash. No further details about the circumstances of the accident or the identity of the victim have been released at this time. Police cordoned off the area to conduct an investigation. 

With this latest tragedy, six people have died in traffic-related incidents on Curaçao so far this year. This is the first fatal motorcycle accident of 2025.
