WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Carnival Development Foundation has collected 33,750 guilders for the opening of Carnival 2023.
The amount was collected by 15 different carnival groups from Carnival Groups Association Curaçao. Children's groups, teen groups, and adult groups participated in the fundraising campaign. Carnival 2023 will take place from 12 to 21 February.
This weekend the queen, prince, and pancho will be chosen. The youth parade is on February 12, followed by the teen parade on February 17. The big parade is on February 19 and the farewell parade is on February 21. The closing party is on February 25.
