More rain for the ABC islands

Local | By Correspondent November 3, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are preparing for even more rainfall. A tropical wave currently moving through the eastern Caribbean Sea will send heavy showers over the islands for the next 24 hours.

The weather services expect a cloudy day with an increasing chance of local rain and thunderstorms. The chance of precipitation is particularly high on Bonaire. There was already a considerable amount of rain on Thursday morning, causing the airport to suffer from considerable flooding.

According to the measurements of the Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo), the monthly average temperature of October is lower than the 30-year average. The weather service measured an average temperature of 28.2 degrees. Last month, by far, the most precipitation was recorded at Soto. In the first week of October, a total of 215 millimeters of rain fell in that area.
