Local | By Correspondent June 11, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - More parking spaces will soon be available at Playa Piskadó. An old building near the church has been demolished to make way for the new parking area, according to the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN).

Additionally, the restrooms have been renovated, and the canopy has been repaired. The ministry states that the entire beach has been refurbished, and all facilities are now operational. A floating line has also been installed at the beach.

"The line is being placed to ensure the safety of swimmers," said the Ministry of GMN.

The GMN also announced that other beaches, which sustained damage during the heavy rainfall in early May, will be undergoing renovations. The start date for these restoration efforts has not been specified.
