WILLEMSTAD – On Monday, September 29, 2025, the Ministry of Justice opened Culture Week in a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with various presentations. The Secretary General of the Ministry, Mrs. G. den der Gen, gave words of appreciation, followed by a speech from Minister Shalten Hato, who emphasized the importance of culture in shaping and uniting the community.
The program was rich in experiences:
– Mrs. Angelique Klooster delighted the audience with several songs.
– Mr. Marvin Snijders gave an explanation about traditional instruments that are fundamental to local culture.
– Mrs. Eduarda de Bies delivered a presentation on cultural dance, focusing on the origins of the basic steps of the seú. She also gave a live demonstration, which employees eagerly practiced on the spot.
With enthusiasm and active participation, the Ministry of Justice launched Culture Week in a way that reflects its commitment to preserving and passing on traditions to today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
