Ministry of Justice Marks International Day of Social Justice

| By Press release February 20, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Today, February 20, 2026, the Ministry of Justice is observing International Day of Social Justice, a day recognized worldwide to highlight equality, equal opportunity, and fair treatment for all.

According to the ministry, social justice is a cornerstone of a stable, safe, and inclusive society. Protecting the rights of every individual—especially the most vulnerable—is considered a key responsibility of the ministry.

Through policy development, cooperation with partners across the justice chain, and the continuous strengthening of laws and regulations, the Ministry of Justice says it is actively working toward a legal order in which every citizen feels heard, protected, and respected.

“A society becomes truly strong when justice is not just a principle, but a daily reality. Together, we are building a Curaçao where opportunities are distributed fairly and rights are guaranteed,” the ministry stated.

The ministry is calling on citizens, social organizations, and public institutions to take joint responsibility in promoting social justice in Curaçao.
