WILLEMSTAD – This year, the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) once again created opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience during the summer through its "vakantiejob" (vacation job) program.
In the first phase of the initiative, a total of 19 students worked for two weeks at the Ministry, where they not only carried out various tasks but also gained insight into the daily operations of GMN.

On their final day, GMN Secretary-General Sharlon Melfor personally thanked each participant for their contributions and wished them great success in the 2025–2026 academic year. He also extended his appreciation to the GMN staff members who coordinated the program and made the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Special thanks were given to Junnella Piternella, Bernadette Forrester, Luisette Martina, Mariela Elisa, Merlicia Roosberg, Najantly Gosepa, and Edgarick Jansen for their roles in overseeing the project and creating a welcoming environment.
A new group of students will begin their vacation jobs at GMN starting Monday, July 28, as the ministry continues to invest in the development and empowerment of Curaçao’s youth.
