Local | By Correspondent January 6, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Finance has announced its readiness to present information to the Parliament regarding the main points of the Ennia agreement, as mentioned in a Facebook post by the ministry.

Once Parliament is briefed, the community, according to the ministry, will be informed about the details of the agreement.

Earlier, on December 21, Nu.cw reported that the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) and the governments of Curaçao and Sint Maarten had reached an agreement on resolving issues with ENNIA. The agreement ensures that there will be no reduction in policies of ENNIA Caribe Leven N.V. (ECL). However, the implementation of this solution is still subject to the required approvals in accordance with the laws and regulations of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

The exact date of the Ministry's briefing to Parliament has not been disclosed.
