WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Public Health Suzanne Camelia-Römer denies that she acted wrongly while holding a public office. It was recently announced that she is registered as a director of two companies with the Chamber of Commerce. That cannot be reconciled with her position as minister. But according to Camelia-Römer, the companies in question were never activated. Opposition party Kòrsou di Nos Tur will soon file a complaint against her.
Doubts about police training also concern the Minister of Health, the Environment and Nature. The MFK faction wants parliament to meet shortly on a recent report by the Court of Audit. It states that police training of more than 5 million guilders, which the government wanted to implement in 2016, is seriously below standard. The MFK also wants to talk about the fact that the training was an idea of the minister’s husband Carl Camelia.
