Minister Silvania calls for end to MAN-PIN manipulation

Local | By Correspondent October 29, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Finance Javier Silvania expressed his outrage yesterday in response to a press release from the MAN-PIN party issued on October 24. The party accused Silvania of misleading the public regarding the budgets for 2022 and 2023. In his rebuttal, Silvania labeled the party's actions as "a great shame," asserting that MAN-PIN is attempting to manipulate the public without any sense of shame or moral integrity.

In his own press release, Silvania presented detailed figures intended to demonstrate that both budgets were closed with a surplus. He stated, “Despite MAN-PIN’s attempt to present a different picture, it has been clearly reported that the years 2022 and 2023 ended with a surplus. This is a reality that the MAN-PIN party apparently cannot accept.”

Silvania further urged the party to stop misleading the people of Curaçao, emphasizing, “Our people will no longer accept your mediocrity and deception; they will no longer accept your bitter fruits.”
