GENEVA - The Minister of Justice Shalten Hato is currently in Geneva for the United Nations Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review.

Curaçao represents the kingdom together with a delegation from Aruba, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands. During the Universal Periodic Review, Curaçao received three interventions and recommendations from more than a hundred countries. This mainly concerned migration, climate change, human trafficking and labor rights.
The Universal Periodic Review is a meeting in which all 193 UN member states indicate what they themselves want to improve in the field of human rights and what they advise other countries in this regard.
