WILLEMSTAD - On her Facebook page, the Minister of Economic Development, Mrs. Giselle McWilliam announced that her ministry is working with the Ministry of Government, Planning and Public Service to offer a better service to those seeking economic permits.  

The permit counter, which is a department of the Minister of Public Service, is the front office during the request and granting of a permit. The evaluation part and decision-making falls under the Ministry of Economic Development, which is the back office.

The Ministers of both ministries, Mrs. Giselle Mc William and Mr. Armin Konket, recently signed a service level agreement in which they agree how they will unite their efforts to optimize the service to the clients when dealing with requesting, evaluating and granting of the economic permits.

With this agreement, the ministers have taken an important step in decreasing the red tape and offering a red carpet service.
