WILLEMSTAD - Minister Rob Jetten of Climate and Energy from the Netherlands visited Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) as part of his visit to strengthen cooperation in the Caribbean region.
During his visit to CPA, Minister Jetten and his delegation received a presentation from the CPA management in the presence of the Board of Commissioners and the director of Kompania di Tou Kòrsou (KTK).

In the presentation, CPA elaborated on its plans to manage the environmental impact of its activities, including the study of the climate impact on our port, which CPA commissioned earlier this year. The report is available to the public on the website www.curports.com. CPA also provided information about its plans to electrify the Emma Bridge and the ferries. KTK also reported on the research it is currently conducting with Damen Shipyard as a pilot project in the region for an E-tugboat.
After the presentation, there was a harbor tour where Minister Jetten and his delegation had the opportunity to see what our port has to offer and the projects that are in progress.
The purpose of Minister Jetten's visit to CPA was to discuss the added value that CPA brings to the sustainable energy project in Curaçao.
