WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The possibilities for shortening police training have been investigated by Minister of Justice Shalten Hato (MFK) during a working visit to the Netherlands. The minister wrote about this on his Facebook page.

Hato visited the Dutch Police Academy to meet with the director. Various study routes of the academy were examined, in conjunction with the Law Enforcement & Security Training Institute in Curaçao. The minister also attended classes that trainee officers are currently taking. Additionally, Hato had the opportunity to showcase his shooting skills, as seen in photos accompanying his post.

It is not yet known what the next steps are or if concrete plans have been made regarding the shortening of the police training program in Curaçao.
