Minister Hato Visits Government Departments to Review Operations and Services

WILLEMSTAD – Minister of Governance, Planning and Public Service Shalten Hato has conducted a series of working visits to all departments and organizations under his ministry, gaining first-hand insight into daily operations, ongoing projects, and policy development.

During the visits, department heads and staff presented updates on their current activities, including progress in policy formulation and continuous improvements within the government apparatus. At the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), the minister also received a detailed overview of how statistical data is collected, analyzed, and used to support policymaking.

The discussions also addressed challenges facing the organizations, including temporary transitions and operational adjustments, and how these are being managed effectively.

A notable aspect of the visits was the minister’s direct participation in various public service processes. He personally requested an official extract at a community service desk and conducted archival research at the National Archives. These hands-on experiences provided valuable insight into service efficiency and customer orientation.

The visits highlighted the dedication and professionalism of ministry staff. Despite ongoing challenges, the ministry remains committed to delivering high-quality, accessible, and reliable services to the community.
