WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Justice, Shalten Hato, stated in a press release that he is aware that firefighting is also there to help maintain and guarantee community safety. For this reason, he continues to invest in the purchase of equipment to ensure that the fire department is well-equipped to carry out its duties.
In light of this, Minister Hato, recently made the financial resources available for the purchase of two "dual pumps," which are highly necessary for firefighting operations. The approval for the purchase of six "thermal imaging cameras" for use in repressive work related to recent incidents was also granted.
Additionally, Minister Hato approved the purchase of three equipment that measures the presence of explosive materials. Furthermore, the vehicle fleet will be expanded with the purchase of two pickups to be prepared for any weather-related situations that may cause flooding.
Hato says that in this way he ensures a sharp focus on the necessary materials and equipment to equip each of the agencies (implementing organizations) that need to contribute to public order but also aid in prevention and community safety.
