WILLEMSTAD - Minister of Justice, Mr. Shalten Hato, says in a press release that he remains dedicated to enhancing the level of security for both employees and clients serving sentences in the SDKK prison. Since last year, the process to optimize the communication system within the correctional institute was initiated.
Last year, a plan was agreed upon to install a total of 250 intercom units in SDKK, which will be executed in four phases. In the past year, 60 intercom units were already installed, and this year, a total of 26 units will be installed, along with the renewal of the server and upgrading the system with a more modern application. Additionally, a central unit will be equipped to efficiently communicate within a platform.
For the years 2024 and 2025, the system will be expanded with 82 units each year, completing an optimal and efficient communication system within the institute, thereby raising the level of security for both staff and clients.
