WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports has announced that the Culture and Sports Sector has not received any responses from organizations regarding the public call issued in October 2024 for the organization of the Harvest Festival (Seú) activities from 2025 to 2028. As a result, no organization has been registered to receive government subsidies for the Seú 2025-2028 season.
To ensure that all activities related to Seú 2025 can continue as planned, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, has established a special ‘Task Force’. This Task Force will be responsible for organizing all government-subsidized activities related to Curaçao’s cultural festival, Seú 2025.
The Task Force will reach out to all groups and institutions involved in the celebration of Seú 2025 to guarantee an inclusive approach that involves all relevant parties. This initiative aims to ensure that the Seú tradition remains alive and continues to thrive.
The Government of Curaçao recognizes and values the importance of this cultural festival and remains committed to supporting its continuity in the upcoming season.
The government counts on the support of the people to ensure a successful Seú season. Together, we will celebrate and elevate our Seú!
