Minister does not see reason to stop working on mangrove area

WILLEMSTAD - Zita Jesus-Leito, Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning, sees no reason to stop work on the mangrove area in Rif. With this she responds to an ultimatum set by the organizations Amigu di tera and Fundashon Rif.

According to the environmental organizations, mangroves are being cut without the necessary nuisance law permits being issued. The organizations had given the minister an ultimatum until yesterday afternoon. Now that the minister has not done anything with this, the organizations indicated that they will go to court.
